Prof. Joseph Hun-wei LEE is President and Chair Professor of the Macau University of Science and Technology. He is an internationally recognized expert in environmental hydraulics – with a passion to apply engineering systems approach to solve complex water environment problems. He is the master mind of the Hong Kong WATERMAN coastal water quality management and forecast system, and has made significant contributions to major environment engineering infrastructure projects, scientific fisheries management, and innovative urban flood control. He is President of the International Association for Hydro-environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences. In 2023 he is bestowed the Honorary Fellow award by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
